Our Engagement
After exploring the wonders of Central America and the insides of an ICU suite, Jackson whisked Kayli to the banks of the Green River where he proposed with interlocking mountain rings. They returned to Kayli's home in Wyoming to find their friends and family had gathered to celebrate their engagement and Kayli's 30th birthday.

First date
First Date
On a sunny August day in 2015, Jackson drove from Cincinnati to Washington, D.C. to take a Wyoming girl out to dinner. We ate Laotian food then had a picnic on the banks of the Tidal Basin at the FDR memorial. Kayli pretended to be a tour guide and Jackson couldn't help himself but steal their first kiss.
Courtship
We dated long distance, visiting each other every few weeks either in each other's home states or for some wonderful weekend adventure that always seemed too short- Florida, Colorado, Wyoming, Detroit, and Colombia. At the end of the year, they couldn't stand to be apart, so Jackson packed up his stuff and Kayli found a quaint basement apartment in D.C. to call our first home. We made most of our own furniture, decorated our first Christmas tree, and hosted dozens of brunches and weekend visitors.
