Some would call our wedding cocktail casual- think slacks and cocktail dresses.  That said, we don't really understand or follow fashion rules, so please wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable and beautiful. You love that white dress-- go for it! You hate ties-- ditch 'em! You prefer cowboy boots-- so do we! It's an outdoor wedding filled with our closest family and friends so what is more important to us is that you are there and that you are comfortable and warm.

Dress in Layers

Do not let that August date fool you. The cabin is located in the mountains at 9,500 feet in elevation meaning the weather will feel more like late fall. Historical temperature data indicate it can climb to the high 60's during the day, but quickly drop into the 30's once the sun is down. The tent is heated, but you will be thankful you threw that sports jacket, cardigan, or shawl in your suitcase.

Comfortable Shoes

We strongly encourage guests to wear shoes that are suitable for the outdoors and for uneven surfaces. Ditch the heels and pack your boots, wedges or flats.

Altitude Considerations

Consider reading about altitude sickness if you are coming in from a lower elevation. There are a couple of ways to help you to avoid feeling crummy.
